Wallula Christian Church strives to help everyone understand what the Bible wants each follower of Christ to know. We've broken this down into six big ideas:
There is one God in three persons, The Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The term God is applied to each of these persons. God is omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent. God is certainly too big to be described in four sentences!
The Bible teaches that we are saved by grace through faith. Salvation is a free gift that cannot be earned or deserved. We receive that ‘gift’ by faith through baptism in the Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Peter 3:21)
Jesus commanded us to participate in communion. We do so out of obedience to remember the great price Jesus paid to save us. We remember Jesus’ sacrifice with communion weekly as we gather together to worship.
The Bible was written over a span of 1,500 years by 40 human authors across three continents and in three different languages. It contains 66 books that tell one unified story. God’s word is with out error in its original manuscripts and can be trusted today! It is God’s authoritative standard for every age and for every life.
The Greek word that Jesus uses to describe His people (church) was “Ecclesia,” which literally means, “the called out ones.” The Church is composed of those who have been called out of sin into righteousness.
Jesus is the head of His Church and He has charged His Church with reaching the world for Him.
